Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TrustPeer ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform, including users who send connection requests ("Users") and content creators who receive requests ("Influencers").

2. Description of Service

TrustPeer is a platform that connects users with influencers through paid connection requests. Key features include:

  • Connection Requests: Users pay to send requests to influencers. An AI-generated "DeepScore" (0-100) indicates compatibility.
  • 30-Day Chat: Accepted requests create a private 30-day chat between the user and influencer.
  • Automatic Refunds: Requests not responded to within 7 days are automatically refunded.
  • Vouch System: Users can financially support influencers through "vouches" (tips).
  • Influencer Levels: Influencers earn levels based on their activity and engagement.

3. Account Registration

To use TrustPeer, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may register using email/password or third-party authentication (Google, Apple, Facebook). By using third-party authentication, you authorize us to access certain account information.

4. Connection Requests and Payments

4.1 Sending Requests

  • Connection request prices are set by each influencer
  • Payment is required before a request is sent to an influencer
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Request prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds)

4.2 Request Expiration and Refunds

  • Influencers have 7 days to respond to a connection request
  • If an influencer does not respond within 7 days, the request expires automatically
  • Expired or rejected requests receive a full refund
  • Refunds are processed automatically within 5-10 business days

4.3 Accepted Requests

  • Accepted requests create a 30-day private chat
  • Payment is held until the chat period ends
  • After the 30-day period, funds are released to the influencer
  • No refunds are available once a request is accepted

5. Vouch System (Tips)

The Vouch system allows users to financially support influencers:

  • Vouches are voluntary tips that show appreciation
  • Vouch prices are configured by the platform
  • Users can choose to make vouches public or private
  • Vouches are non-refundable once processed
  • Influencers receive vouch funds according to the platform payout schedule

6. Influencer Terms

6.1 Application and Verification

  • Anyone can apply to become an influencer
  • Applications are reviewed by our team
  • We reserve the right to approve or deny applications
  • Verified influencers must maintain accurate profile information

6.2 Earnings and Payouts

  • Influencers earn from accepted connection requests and vouches
  • Earnings are available for withdrawal after the holding period
  • Minimum withdrawal amount is £50 GBP
  • Bank details must be verified before withdrawals
  • Withdrawals are processed within 1-5 business days

6.3 Response Obligations

While influencers are not required to accept requests, they should respond in a timely manner. Consistently failing to respond may affect their visibility on the platform.

7. DeepScore and AI

TrustPeer uses AI to generate a "DeepScore" for connection requests:

  • DeepScore is a compatibility indicator (0-100) based on questionnaire responses
  • The score is generated using AI algorithms and is intended as a helpful guide
  • DeepScore does not guarantee a response or acceptance
  • Influencers make their own decisions independent of the score
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated scores

8. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or inappropriate content
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Share explicit, offensive, or harmful content
  • Attempt to circumvent payment systems or request off-platform payments
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse the system
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated methods to access the Platform
  • Interfere with the Platform's security or functionality
  • Share your account credentials with others

9. Content Guidelines

All content you post (profile information, messages, questionnaire responses) must:

  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Not infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
  • Not promote violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines.

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TrustPeer and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Harmful behavior toward other users
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Influencers will respond to or accept your requests
  • The quality of any connections made through the Platform
  • The accuracy of DeepScore or AI-generated content

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUSTPEER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TrustPeer and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with UK arbitration rules.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
